Description : One of the stunts we had to do on one of our pledge trips was to go to this button shop in the Village and get as many different buttons as we could. When the brothers saw how many I had came away with, they made me wear them on my jacket. The jacket is not a pledge jacket, just the apparel that NCE required us to wear at the time. The pledge apparel was a black tie with big baby blue polka-dots, our pledge plaque around our necks, and black & baby blue argile socks. You can't see the socks, and for the picture, they made me wear my plaque inside my jacket, but you can see the green and black stiped necklace that goes to the plaque. My first semester English teacher was Dr. Herman A. Estrin who wrote books about college life amongst students. When he saw me walk into class with all those buttons on, he said it was the perfect cover for his next book or the republishing of the book I was holding, I don't remember which. Anyhow, I don't know if I ever got published or not.
